PrepForge ("we", "our", "us") is operated by SSR Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at prepforge.net (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

b) Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, questions viewed, study progress, mock interview results, bookmarks, and notes. This data is stored in your account to provide personalized features.

c) Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage statistics such as page views, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location. This data helps us understand how users interact with the Service and improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

d) Advertising Data

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the Service; track your study progress, bookmarks, and learning state; deliver personalized study plans and spaced repetition schedules; improve the Service through aggregated analytics; display relevant advertisements via Google AdSense; and communicate with you about service updates when necessary.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account data and study progress are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) for all communications. While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (to keep you signed in), analytics (Google Analytics), and advertising (Google AdSense). You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Service.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google OAuth 2.0 — for authentication. Google Analytics 4 — for usage analytics. Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements. Amazon Web Services — for hosting and data storage. Each service has its own privacy policy governing its use of your data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data (which cannot identify you) for analytics purposes. We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@ssrlabs.co.in. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile settings, which removes all associated data. You may opt out of personalized ads via Google's settings and opt out of analytics tracking via the GA opt-out add-on.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
