About PrepForge

PrepForge is a focused preparation platform for software engineering interviews, built and maintained by SSR Labs. It brings together curated, original interview questions and answers across the topics backend engineers are actually asked about: Core Java, Spring Boot, databases, REST API design, microservices, cloud platforms, messaging and streaming systems, observability, design patterns, and system design.

Why We Built PrepForge

Most interview-prep resources are either scattered blog posts of varying quality or question dumps with one-line answers. Preparing for a senior backend interview means piecing together material from dozens of sources and hoping it is accurate and current. PrepForge was built to fix that: every question on the platform has a complete, structured answer written and reviewed by practicing engineers — covering not just the "what" but the trade-offs, pitfalls, and follow-up questions interviewers actually ask.

What You Get

The platform includes more than 1,000 in-depth topic and question pages with worked answers and code examples, guided learning paths that sequence topics in the order they build on each other, mock interview sessions with realistic timing, spaced-repetition review so material sticks, progress tracking and bookmarks, and real interview experiences shared by the community. Core content is free to read; an account (Google sign-in) adds personalized features such as saved questions, study plans, and progress tracking.

How Content Is Created

All questions and answers are original work authored for PrepForge. Answers are reviewed for technical accuracy against official documentation and updated as frameworks and platforms evolve. Code examples are tested before publication. Community-submitted interview experiences are moderated before they appear on the site.
